The best way to contact us is via e-mail so that the appropriate member
of our team can deal with it. We aim to respond to all e-mails within
one hour during normal working hours, and usually much faster.
I've forgotten my password, what do I do?
Simply click on the "Forgotten Password" link under the Login boxes. Enter the e-mail address that you are registered with and we will e-mail you a link allowing you to easily reset your password.
I did a similar course last year. Can I do it again?
Yes. All of our courses provide topical information, and are updated continuously. For example, new resources become available, old resources disappear or move. New software or best practices are continuously documented to keep you up to date. You will therefore not be doing the same course as last year.
Each of our courses is separately accredited by the Bar Standards Board and Solicitors Regulation Authority for the stated number of CPD hours. You may find the guidance from the Bar Standards Board here of help. It states that you may not take the same training twice in the same calendar year, and our systems make sure that you cannot buy the same course twice, so you will never break that rule.
How do I know if the course will suit me?
We have a Sample course for you to try, so that you can get an idea of what our training is like. You do not need to login or register to view the sample course.
We appreciate that although this gives you a great idea of how our courses work in general, you may still be unsure. For that reason we offer a 100% money back guarantee. That means that you can sign up for a course, look at the training, and if you decide for any reason that the course is not the right one for you, you can get a complete refund. All you have to do is to send an e-mail to help@legaltraining.co.uk before you complete the end of course assessment, stating that you would like a refund. We will refund your full payment back to your credit card as soon as possible. If you want to tell us why the course was not right for you, we welcome the feedback. If you don't want to tell us, that's fine too.
This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.
How long does it take to do each course?
Each course has a specified number of hours of CPD time. This is based on the time it takes an individual to go through the course in detail, visiting every web site and reference mentioned. It is not necessary to visit every reference to complete the course, so you may be able to complete the course in less time than this. You may choose to spend a long time on a particular reference, so the time taken may be longer. You are not timed on how long you take to complete the course, so the pace is up to you; one of the particular advantages of our online courses is that you can stop and start the training at your convenience.
Do I have to do the course all in one go?
No, once you have registered for a course, you can come back and access it later, completing it whenever you like. You can re-visit the course as many times as you want, and even after you have completed it you can use the information in it for your own reference.
Can I pay by cheque?
Yes. If you wish to pay by cheque then download our order form from here. You will be given access to the course as soon as we receive your cheque. Confirmation of course completion to your professional body will occur once your cheque has cleared, which may take up to 7 days. An e-mail will be sent to let you know as soon as your cheque has cleared. If you need faster access then we strongly recommend online payment by credit or debit card. Please feel free to contact us by e-mail to help@legaltraining.co.uk or by telephone to 0207 5588 247 if we can help with cheque payments.
Can I pay online by credit or debit card?
Yes. This is our preferred payment method as it gives you instant access to the courses.
Payment for courses is by secure
checkout on our website to give you instant access, using our shopping basket facility. We take your
security very seriously, and so use the latest technology to secure
your online transactions. We do not keep or store your credit or debit
card details, and you can be assured of the security of the details
that you enter on our website; look for the padlock symbol in the
corner of your browser as your security guarantee.
To offer you flexibility, as an alternative we also give you the option of paying with either the Google Checkout or Paypal secure payment processing systems, who accept a number of credit and debit cards in a secure and confidential manner. Paying in this way also gives you instant access to the courses.
Can I get a printed copy of the courses?
Yes. Each course has a Printable Page button on the left hand side. Clicking that will take you to a page specifically designed for printing the entire course at once. Use the Back button on your browser to return to the online version of the course when you have finished printing.
Are all of your courses accredited?
Yes, all of our courses are accredited with both the Bar Standards Board (the regulatory arm of the Bar Council) and the Solicitors Regulation Authority (the regulatory arm of the Law Society) and as such count towards your accredited CPD points requirement.
You can find the Bar Standards Board's list of accredited CPD providers here (see entry Amanda Millmore - www.legaltraining.co.uk), and you will find all of our courses listed in their searchable CPD database.
Our Solicitors Regulation Authority CPD Reference is DKR/AMLT. Their list of accredited distance learning CPD providers can be found here (see entry Amanda Millmore Legal Training - www.legaltraining.co.uk).
The Institute of Legal Executives no longer accredits any training themselves, leaving it up to individual practitioners to determine what is appropriate for them. Our accreditation by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and Bar Standards Board is sufficient to demonstrate that this is appropriate training for Legal Executives too, and would comply with their guidance.

Solicitors can therefore complete all 16 of their CPD points with us.
Legal Executives: ILEX no longer accredits CPD providers, but their guidance states that "...any course taken with a training provider accredited by the Law Society or any other professional body may be used as ILEX CPD, provided the requirements of the ILEX scheme are satsified..."
