Who we are

Legal Training is a website founded in 2004, dedicated to providing good value internet based training for Barristers, Solicitors and Legal Executives in England and Wales.

The legal content is all written by Amanda Millmore, a Barrister of 13 years call, (1996 - Lincoln's Inn) who is currently non-practising whilst looking after her young children.
Amanda was a tenant in the Chambers of Timothy Raggatt Q.C. at 4 Kings Bench Walk, where she practised in Family Law, Personal Injury and Criminal Law.

The best way to contact us is via e-mail so that the appropriate member of our team can deal with it. We aim to respond to all e-mails within one hour during normal working hours, and usually much faster.

Accredited Professional Training

Amanda Millmore is recognised and accredited as an external course provider for both the Bar Standards Board and Solicitors Regulation Authority Continuing Professional Development programmes (CPD). All of our courses are accredited for CPD points and list the number of hours accreditation that each one carries. ILEX does not accredit providers, trusting Legal Executives to vet suitable training themselves; their guidance states that training accredited by the other authorities is suitable for their members.

Our Solicitors Regulation Authority CPD reference is DKR/AMLT.

Upon completion of an accredited course, you will receive an online certificate as proof of your CPD hours. An additional requirement for Barristers is that a confirmation e-mail with your name, Chambers and details of the completed course be sent directly to the Bar Standards Board (the regulatory arm of the Bar Council) to confirm your successful completion. This is done once you have completed the course and your payment has cleared.

Privacy Policy

Any information which you provide to us will only be used to administer the training for which you have registered, and to inform the Bar Standards Board, Solicitors Regulation Authority or ILEX of successful completion of the course where applicable. Your details will not be passed on to a third party, and will not be used for any other purposes.

We may use your e-mail address to occasionally inform you of new developments with the Legal Training website. This happens less than once a month, and all such e-mails have an option to unsubscribe from future e-mails.

Whilst using the site, we will record which modules you have accessed. Such information is only used to validate that you have successfully completed the course.

We do not store your financial details such as credit card number or billing address on our site.

Payment

As our organization provides business to business services, all prices shown exclude VAT, but VAT at the rate of 17.5% will be added at checkout. VAT number is 701 3375 74 and payment is due to "Amanda Millmore". Invoices are available immediately online.

Payment for courses is by secure checkout on our website to give you instant access. We take your security very seriously, and so use the latest technology to secure your online transactions. We do not keep or store your credit or debit card details, and you can be assured of the security of the details that you enter on our website; look for the padlock symbol in the corner of your browser as your security guarantee.

To offer you flexibility, as an alternative you are also welcome to pay with either of our payment partners, PayPal or Google Checkout. They will ask you for some information such as your name and address to process your credit card payment. This information will only be used by those companies for the processing of your payment. You will not be charged anything over and above the course fees for payment using their services.

If you wish to pay by cheque then download our order form from here. You will be given access to the course as soon as we receive your cheque. Confirmation of course completion will occur once your cheque has cleared, which may take up to 7 days. An e-mail will be sent to let you know as soon as your cheque has cleared. If you need faster access then we strongly recommend online payment by credit or debit card.
