This course describes the most recent developments in the arena of civil litigation, and looks at other points of interest to civil litigators. Links to relevant source materials are provided.

By the end of the course you should be able to advise authoritatively on topics such as:

  • the return to a ‘back to basics’ approach when assessing damages
  • the impact of ‘fundamental dishonesty’ on personal injury claims
  • the appropriate rate and period of interest where a party has beaten a Part 36 offer
  • redaction of documents under the CPR
  • the application of litigation privilege to internal investigations
