This course will highlight recent case law developments in relation to costs in civil proceedings. It will provide links to relevant source materials.

By the end of the course you should be able to advise authoritatively on topics such as:

  • the role of proportionality when assessing costs

  • costs orders that may be made in relation to third party funders

  • the effect of a transfer of a CFA post-LASPO 2102

  • potential effect of conduct on costs

  • disclosure of the identity of third party funders
