Thank you to all of our customers for your support over the last 15 years. It has been a pleasure offering you CPD training since we first began back in 2004. In 2019 we are no longer going to be offering new CPD training courses. This website will no longer be accessible from 1st April 2019, which gives you time to complete any training that you wish to, or download your course material, paid invoices or certificates.
If you have questions - please look at our Frequently Asked Questions page: FAQ
Legal Training is a website founded in 2004, dedicated to providing good value, quality, internet based training for Barristers, Solicitors, Chartered Legal Executives, Paralegals and Conveyancers in England and Wales.
Unless otherwise stated, the course content is all written by Amanda Millmore, a Barrister (Call 1996 - Lincoln's Inn) who is currently non-practising whilst concentrating on providing education and training for legal professionals and looking after her young children. We have guest course authors in a number of areas, notably many of our Property and Civil Law courses and our popular Mental Capacity Act course; please see the course information for further details.
Amanda was previously a tenant in the Chambers of Timothy Raggatt Q.C. at 4 Kings Bench Walk, where she practised in the areas of Family Law, Personal Injury and Criminal Law for 8 years until 2004. In 2015 Amanda joined the School of Law at the University of Reading, where she works as a lecturer on the LLB programme.
If you have any questions, or need any help, then you may contact us at:
Amanda Millmore was accredited by the Bar Standards Board to provide CPD for barristers at the Bar of England & Wales from 2004 until the end of 2016 when the BSB ceased their accreditation scheme. Our BSB provider ID number was: 1068 (and appears on barristers' course completion certificates) in case you need it for historical record-keeping.
The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives does not accredit providers, trusting Legal Executives to vet suitable training themselves; their guidance states that distance learning from a training provider accredited by the BSB or SRA will be suitable. Similarly the OISC no longer accredits providers.
We were authorised distance learning providers for the Solicitors' Regulation Authority from 2008 until 2014, when the SRA abandoned their CPD authorisation and accreditation schemes from 1st November 2014. Our Solicitors' Regulation Authority CPD reference (if you need it for historical record-keeping) was DKR/AMLT.
Upon completion of any of our courses, you can access an online completion certificate as proof of your CPD hours. This certificate shows the course code as well as the course name, number of hours of CPD completed and date of completion; you will need this for your CPD record-keeping, but you can always login at a later date and view your completion certificates in the My Account section of the website. We do of course keep records should there be a query from any customer or regulator about course completion and we are happy to help with any enquiries - simply email email@example.com.
